Where I Find Motivation to Achieve My Goals

As we look ahead to 2018, we at Sask-Women in Ag are eager to see what 2018 has to offer!  While working on setting goals within the organization, we also have our personal goals in mind. I know for myself, a self-proclaimed avid goal setter, I have an idea of where I want to end up in my career but I am  somewhat unsure of the steps to get there.  As a first year law student, I want to be within the top half of my class (grade wise).  I also want to maximize my summer job experience, and ensure that I am living a healthy and balanced lifestyle while keeping my stress levels under control.

Does this sound like you? Maybe you have an idea of what goals you want to achieve in 2018 but you are looking for a few tips and tricks to get you where you want to be.  Or maybe you are headed to Crop Production Show and are looking for a day of building connections, learning, and supporting local businesses!

Events like the WIA Tradeshow and Coaching Event are a great opportunity to put those goals into action. They are a means of  taking GOALS and making them ACHIEVEMENTS, while meeting new people and building connections along the way.

This year’s event will take place on January 10th in Saskatoon, and is a 'come and go' style event. We realize that Crop Production week is BUSY, so come for an hour, or the full day.  Your $30.00 ticket includes lunch.  Tickets are available at https://www.picatic.com/event15112834761659..

Round Table Coaching Sessions:

Similar to last year, in true “speed dating” style, each of the interactive sessions will be 30 minutes long and attendees can attend up to 6 sessions.  The topics and presenters this year will have something for everyone. From leadership and board governance, to hiring foreign workers on the farm, emergency response, and advancements in agriculture technology – There is something for everyone!

I am so excited for this event!  I know that attending this event and building connections with professionals in agriculture will allow me to reach my goals... and maybe meet some future clients:)

Make sure to bring your business card and a note pad. This wonderful networking event is open to all so please feel free to invite any friends along with you!
