Women in Ag’s mission is to support, empower, and connect all women in Agriculture in order to strengthen the industry as a whole. What started as an idea for a calendar amongst friends, has now evolved into a network of women from all backgrounds in agriculture.
Women in Ag – Volunteer Coordinator Position
As the group evolves and takes on more projects within the Ag industry, the team has developed a new Volunteer Coordinator role.
Start Date: Immediately
Terms of Employment: 6-month commitment until Women in Ag Annual General Meeting – February 10th, 2018
Salary: Volunteer based
Job Description:
- Coordinate all volunteer processes within Women in Ag
- Respond to all requests for volunteer positions
- Work with the Board of Directors to establish a system for identifying individual interests, level of commitment, best fit within the group, etc.
- Work with the Board of Directors to facilitate volunteer on-boarding, off-boarding and orientation duties
- Work with the Board of Directors to improve and streamline on-boarding, off-boarding & orientation processes
- Generate volunteer acquisition and retention strategies
- Facilitate volunteer placement with Committee Chairs as requests for volunteers come in
Time Commitment: ~ 2 hours/week

Women in Ag – Public Relations Committee Chair Position
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the Women in Ag Public Relations Committee. This committee is responsible for managing the public image of the organization, driving campaigns, and maintaining strong connections with industry relations.
Start Date: Immediately
Terms of Employment: 6-month commitment until Women in Ag Annual General Meeting – February 10th, 2018
Salary: Volunteer based
Along with the current PR co-chair, duties include:
- Managing and working with volunteers to contribute various communication pieces including the newsletter, social media posts, and the Women in Ag blog
- Review website content and suggest edits
- Creating and filing various photo albums at Women in Ag events
- Carrying the mandate of Women in Ag and providing strategic direction on public relations
Time Commitment: ~ 2 hours/week

Women in Ag – Calendar Tracking Position
Women in Ag is looking for someone to manage all 2018 calendar inventory and facilitate calendar shipments around Western Canada.
Start Date: October 15, 2017
Terms of Employment: Flexible term until 2018 Women in Ag Calendar sales have ceased
Salary: Volunteer based
- Manage shipments of 2018 Women in Ag calendar sales
- Update Sales Tracker with shipping information
- Manage 2018 calendar inventory and facilitate new orders
Time Commitment: ~ 2 hours/week
