2018 Women in Ag Scholarship Winner Alora Hughes

Meet Alora Hughes who is the 2018 recipient of the Women in Ag Scholarship!

I grew up in Eston Saskatchewan which is where I first became interested in Agriculture. Following high school graduation I enrolled in the college of Agriculture at The University of Saskatchewan. During my degree I participated in several clubs including Enactus, the Agribusiness club and the Horticulture club. I completed my degree in agribusiness in April of 2019. Following my degree I accepted a position as a territory sales representative with Syngenta Canada. I love being a women in Agriculture for many reasons one of them being the network of like-minded individuals that I am surrounded by who have a passion for customers, the environment, and the Agriculture industry as a whole.
